Pakistan have announced the lineup for their Asia Cup game against India which will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy, Sri Lanka.

The same players who featured in the Green Shirts' 238-run victory against Nepal will take the field against the arch-rivals.

Pakistan's Lineup

Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Salman Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan (vc), Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah.

Pakistan is in red hot form, having defeated Nepal by a big margin in their Asia Cup opener and becoming the number-one ODI team in the world by whitewashing Afghanistan 3-0 in an ODI series just before the Asian event.

On the other hand, this will be India's first match in the tournament and some of their players will be playing their first-ever match against Pakistan.

If we talk about the head-to-head in the Asia Cup (ODI) between the two sides, then India have the upper hand against Pakistan with seven wins in 13 matches with their most recent win in the 2018 Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, the Green Shirts have won five with one match ending in no result.

Pakistan have also lost four of the last five matches against India in the Asia Cup, with their last win coming in Mirpur in 2014. It was the same match where Shahid Afridi hit two consecutive sixes against Ravichandran Ashwin in the last over to get Pakistan over the line.

A number of records could also be broken in the arch-rivals' encounter.

India's skipper Rohit Sharma is closing in on the 10,000-run mark in ODI cricket. He is 163 runs away from the landmark ahead of the Pakistan clash.

Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam is just six runs away from breaking Virat Kohli's record of the fastest captain to 2,000 ODI runs.

Azam could also become the fastest to 20 ODI centuries during the match against India.

India’s star batter Virat Kohli is also on the verge of achieving another milestone.

The right-hander is just 102 runs away from scoring 13,000 runs in ODIs, becoming only the second Indian to achieve the landmark.
