Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee (MC) chairman Zaka Ashraf met with the representatives of Punjab's caretaker government on Friday.
During the meeting, the adviser to caretaker CM Punjab, Wahab Riaz, was also present. Wahab announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday via press conference.
Punjab's caretaker setup ensured PCB foolproof arrangements for the Asia Cup matches in Multan and Lahore. Meanwhile, the two parties sort out differences that happened in the previous tenure of Najam Sethi (chairman - former MC).
It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab's caretaker government had asked PCB, then led by Sethi, to pay Rs500 million bill for PSL 8 matches arrangements in the province.
After negotiations, PCB had paid Rs100m for arrangements of PSL 8 Punjab-leg.
Hosts Pakistan will take on Nepal in the opening match of Asia Cup on August 30 in Multan. Lahore will host Asia Cup matches on September 3, 5 and 6.
