Pakistan's all-rounder Imad Wasim has been signed by Trent Rockets for the first three games in The Hundred, starting today.
Imad has replaced Afghanistan's Rashid Khan who has pulled out of the tournament due to injury.
The left-arm spinner will be in action for Rockets against Southern Brave (today), Birmingham Phoenix (August 5), and Northern Superchargers (August 9).
He will then fly to West Indies for participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023. New Zealand's Ish Sodhi will then replace him.
Imad will represent defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs in this year's event. He will be joined by his compatriot Mohammad Amir in the team.
Pakistan's Azam Khan, who played for the Barbados Royals last year, will represent Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Khan has been signed by Guyana with a contract worth $120,000, which makes him the highest-paid Pakistan cricketer in the league.
The upcoming edition of CPL will run from August 17 to September 24 in Saint Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana.
