Pakistan players celebrate after taking a wicket - SLC

Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in the second and final Test of the series in Colombo from tomorrow, July 24.

The Babar Azam-led unit won the first Test in Galle by four wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

The win was Pakistan’s 10th — in 28 matches — in Sri Lanka, putting them ahead of India (nine wins in 24 matches) and England (nine wins in 18 matches) with the most wins in the country.

The visitors are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI for the second Test and will stick to the combination which helped them win the first Test.

During Pakistan’s previous tour of Sri Lanka in July 2022, the two-match Test series ended in a 1-1 draw. Pakistan scaled the target of 342 to register the best run chase at the ground and win the first Test by four wickets. However, the hosts bounced back in the second Test to level the series with a 246-run win.
