English skipper Ben Stokes scored a remarkable 155 off 214 against Australia in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Stokes came to bat at 45-4 and became the wall standing between the English collapse and the Australian bowling attack.
The Englishman reached this feat with 18 boundaries that consisted of nine fours and nine sixes.
The cricket world was in awe of the masterclass by the 32-year-old.

Earlier, Australia won the second Ashes Test by 43 runs extending their lead to 2-0.
Chasing the target of 371 in their second innings, England were dealt a devastating blow as the Aussies’ bowling attack of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins sent four English batters back to the pavilion at just 45 runs.
Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook couldn’t get into double digits while Joe Root was removed for 18 runs.
Earlier on day five, controversy surfaced after the English wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow was run out in a bizarre way by Alex Carey.
An altercation also took place between the celebrating Aussies and the shocked Englishmen as Stokes had a heated exchange of words with Cummins.
The Lord’s crowd got charged up after the incident and booed the Aussies for a larger part of the game.
Steve Smith was named the Player of the Match for his 110 in the first innings, by completing which he also scored his 32nd Test century and reached 11,000 runs in Test Cricket. Meanwhile, with 180 runs in two innings, Duckett remained the top-scorer for England
The Aussies can clinch the series by winning the next Test in Headingly.
