Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman Najam Sethi invited foreign and local women cricketers, who are part of women's exhibition matches, for a Hi-Tea at a local restaurant in Islamabad.
For the first time in Pakistan Super League (PSL)'s history, three high-profile exhibition matches for women cricketers are taking place. The first match between Amazons and Super Women had already been played on March 8 at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Super Women beat Amazons by eight wickets.
On Thursday, all the local and foreign cricketers attended a Hi-Tea at the invitation of PCB head. The two teams' captains, Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar were accompanied by their team members during this meetup.
Sethi met the cricketers and had a fun time with them. They talked about cricket, culture, and a lot more. After having some food, cricketers went down to a local market for some shopping.
PCB shared pictures and videos of this gathering on their social media.
As many as 10 foreign cricketers are taking part in this three-match T20 series. South Africa's top-order batter Laura Wolvaardt was replaced by her compatriot Sune Luus who has already joined Super Women's squad in Islamabad.
Wolvaardt was named as a replacement player in the Women's Indian Premier League (WIPL)'s inaugural season. She has replaced Beth Mooney of Australia in Gujarat Giants' squad.
Amazons and Super Women will meet in second T20 on March 10 at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Last and final T20 of the series will be played on March 11.
