KARACHI: Pakistan's top bodybuilders are set to participate in the Karachi Games 2023 which kicked off today at KMC Complex.
Pakistan BodyBuilding Federation (PBBF)'s Associate Secretary Iqbal confirmed that top bodybuilders of the country will participate in the event.
"We are excited to announce that top bodybuilders from Karachi and Pakistan will take part in Karachi Games today," he said.
"All bodybuilders associated with PBBF and IBBF will be participating in the event today," he added.
Mr Asia - Fida Hussain Baloch, Mr Pakistan - Kamran Baloch and Jr Mr Pakistan - Gul Nawaz Khan, alongside some other top bodybuilders will take part in the event today at 4pm.
"It's a great initiative of KMC to include bodybuilding in Karachi Games. We are looking forward to the success of our bodybuilders and support KMC in their initiative," Iqbal said.
"I would like to request bodybuilders of Karachi to come and support their fellow contestants," he concluded.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori opened Karachi Games 2023 with football event. Football matches will be played at Azan Sports Football Ground, Cantt Bazar, Drigh road.
Later on in the day, Tessori will also grace the cricket event at Mansoora Ground, Gulberg Gymkhana. Cricket and football events will take place from March 4 to 11. Basketball matches will be played from March 4 to 6. Whereas, one-day bodybuilding event will conclude today.
Other games in the event include Hockey, Cycle Race, Archery, Malakhra, Wrestling, Snooker, Arm Wrestling, Tennis, Dodge Ball, Tug of War, Mass Wrestling, Gymnastics, Sepak Takraw, Weightlifting, KHO-KHO, Volleyball, Squash, Carrom, Chess, Scrabble, Taekwondo, Wushu, Shooting Ball, Table Tennis, Boxing, Dart Game, Judo, Karate, Futsal, Roller, Skate, Softball, Badminton, Skate, Softball, Badminton, Teqball, Field & Track, Donkey Cart, Marathon, Kabaddi, Mixed Martial Arts, and Rifle Shooting.
