Semi-final contests of the ongoing 15th West Asia Baseball Cup were postponed today due to bad weather. 

Pakistan was scheduled to clash with Sri Lanka in the semi-final of tournament at 10am today in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Palestine was scheduled to take on Bangladesh in the second semi-final of the event at 1pm.

However, rain forced the semi-finals to get postponed.

The matches of the last four will be played on Tuesday (January 31).

In the tournament's opening match, the 43rd-ranked Pakistani team defeated Afghanistan 17-0 to start things off, while in the second match, the hosts beat Bangladesh 14-0.

It should be noted here that the West Asia Cup is featuring teams from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Palestine.

The top two finishers at the West Asia Cup will progress to the Asian Baseball Championship, which serves as a Baseball World Cup qualifying event, scheduled in Taiwan.
