Pakistan's Sohail Adnan made an impressive run at the British Junior Open Squash, securing a spot in the top 8 after defeating Malaysia's Wain Isaac Wilson in the Under-13 category pre-quarter-finals.

Sohail won the match with a commanding scoreline of 11-4, 11-7, and 11-5.

Earlier in the tournament, Sohail triumphed over Germany’s Mats Oliver Efken and Scotland’s Calum Smith 3-0, demonstrating his ability to overcome strong opposition.

While Sohail’s performance has been outstanding, other Pakistani players in the event did not perform as significantly, with no further standout results from the rest of the squad.

However, Sohail's remarkable journey in the British Junior Open Squash came on the back of a successful performance at the Scottish Junior Open Squash 2024 in Edinburgh.

Alongside his quarter-final achievement, Sohail and fellow Pakistan players clinched four titles at the event.

In the Boys' U13 final, Sohail delivered an exceptional performance, defeating Spain's Itzel Reguero Garcia in straight games.

Meanwhile, in the Boys' U15 final, Huzaifa Shahid displayed impressive nerve control, winning a thrilling match against Singapore’s Rehan Singh with scores of 11-6, 11-6, 8-11, 11-13, and 11-7.

Azan Khan continued Pakistan’s dominance in the U17 category, overcoming Switzerland’s Leandro Vogel with a commanding 11-9, 11-2, 9-11, 11-6 victory.

In the Girls' U13 final, Mahnoor Ali was in top form, defeating India’s Divyanshi Jain in straight games.

Earlier in 2024, in June, Sohail and seven other Pakistani players reached the semi-finals at the 31st Junior Individual Squash Championship in Islamabad.

In the quarter-finals of the U13 category, Sohail Adnan, the fourth seed, defeated the 13th seed, Jackrish Kumar from Singapore, with an emphatic 11-0, 11-7, 11-3 victory.
