LAHORE: The voting process for the highly-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) Fans’ Choice Awards kicked off on Sunday with the best batter category.
The nominees for the best batter of the PSL include the top-three leading run-getters in the history of the marquee league – Babar Azam (3504), Fakhar Zaman (2525) and Mohammad Rizwan (2403).
The PSL started the voting process with a livestream video on its official YouTube channel, comprised of the three nominees’ best shots.
Fans can vote for their favourite nominee by commenting their names in the comment section of the livestream for the next 24 hours.
The voting for the remaining five categories will also take place on the official YouTube channel of the PSL till Friday and the winners of the Fans’ Choice Awards will be announced on Saturday, 11 January at the Players’ Draft ceremony.
Furthermore, a total of six lucky fans who cast their votes during this period, will also become eligible to win the tickets of the upcoming edition’s tickets through a lucky draw.
The remaining five categories of the awards are best bowler, best all-rounder, Most Valuable Player (MVP), best individual batting and best individual bowling.
The inaugural PSL Fans’ Choice Awards is a part of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) initiative to celebrate nine years of the PSL’s success and also to recognize the passion and dedication of the fans.

The Fans’ Choice Awards are our way of recognising their passion and dedication, providing them with a platform to recognise their favourite players and moments as we celebrate the very best of HBL PSL together,” said PSL CEO Salman Naseer.
“We all know there have been breathtaking performances and unforgettable moments throughout the history of this league. The Fans’ Choice Awards aim to showcase what makes the HBL PSL truly special, a tribute to the players who inspire and the fans who cheer them on,” he added.
