The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is in full swing where close and high-scoring encounters between teams are taking place but apart from that the race for most runs and wickets is also getting interesting with every passing day.
As of now, 21 matches have been played where we have seen record-breaking matches like Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians, where the highest total in an IPL innings was scored by the former and individual displays like Romario Shephard going berserk against Delhi Capitals’ Anrich Nortje, making him enter the unwanted record list.
At the batting charts, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) legend Virat Kohli, which comes as no surprise, is at the top in the race for the Orange Cap with 316 runs to his name in five innings while Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) Heinrich Klassen has hit 17 sixes in four matches.
In the bowling charts, despite the presence of names like Jasprit Bumrah, Gerald Coetzee, Pat Cummins and others, it is India’s Yuzvendra Singh Chahal who has taken eight wickets and remains the top wicket-taker of the tournament so far.
