Babar Azam opens up on most emotional moment of cricket career

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has opened up on the most emotional moment of his cricket career so far.

The 29-year-old, while talking on his space on X (formerly Twitter), said that the loss against Zimbabwe in the 2022 T20 World Cup broke him.

"There have been many emotional moments. When I made my debut was one of them while becoming captain was an emotional moment too.

"But, the loss against Zimbabwe in the World Cup was heartbreaking," Babar said.

Meanwhile, the No.1 ranked ODI batter revealed his most favourite knocks of red-ball and white-ball cricket.

"My century in Brisbane against Australia in 2019 and 196-run knock in the second Test against Australia in Karachi in 2022 are my favourite in Tests."

"158 against England in Birmingham while T20I centuries against South Africa and New Zealand are my favourites in white-ball cricket," he added.

On the other hand, Babar also mentioned his future goals and one of them is winning the World Cup.

"I want to play at every upcoming World Cup and help Pakistan win," he maintained.

It must be noted that Babar is currently engaged with Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). In four innings, he has amassed 157 runs with the help of two innings. He averages 52.33 and is batting with a strike rate of 112.94.
