Stefanos Tsitsipas shared a heartfelt moment with girlfriend Paula Badosa after beating Jordan Thompson 4-6, 7(8)-6(6), 6-2, 7-6(4) in an intense encounter of Australian Open 2024 at the Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday.
A tired Tsitsipas was seen walking towards the dressing room with Badosa as he was consistently interrupted by the press.

Before Tsitsipas, Badosa defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-2, 6-3 comfortably to make way to the third of the Australian Open.
The two got into a relationship more than a year ago and even created a joint account on Instagram with the name “Tsitsidosa” where they shared their pictures together and kept fans updated about their relationship, although that account has been inactive for some time now.
Tsitsipas, the finalist of last year’s Australian Open, talked to the press after the match and was asked whether he would be able to win his first-ever Grand Slam now.
Tsitsipas jokingly said that Djokovic needs to be less selfish so others can win.
"Numbers don’t lie. Novak has won here 12 times. He’s a very selfish person. I think he just needs to wake up one day & get less selfish. Sharing is caring more type of vibe," the 25-year-old said.
"There are 2 scenarios. Someone needs to beat Novak that’s not me. Or it has to be me. We’ll find a way," he added.
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas is among the players who are not pleased with the Australian Open fan entertainment.
The introduction of a courtside bar at this year’s Australian Open, as they strive to be more fan-friendly, has received criticism. Additionally, the presence of DJs has provoked displeasure from players, with Stefanos Tsitsipas being one of the critics.
Not just Tsitsipas, Badosa and Pavlyuchenkova also raised their concerns on the matter earlier today.
