Vinicius Jr scored a superb hat-trick as Real Madrid defeated arch-rivals FC Barcelona 4-1 in the Spanish Super Cup Final on Sunday at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Vinicius mimicked Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration after scoring the opener.
"The celebration was dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo, because he is my idol and now he plays here,” Vinicius said after the match.
“I want to be a better person. Everyone wants to fight me. I try my best to stay focused. I am not a saint, sometimes I talk too much, sometimes I do dribbles that I don’t have to do and I want to learn. I'm here for that, to learn,” he added.
Real were on top throughout the game against last year's champions, who were clueless in front of Vinicius and ended the match with 10 men. Defender Ronald Araujo was sent off for a second yellow in the 71st minute after two fouls on the Brazilian.
Vinicius notched up early goals in the seventh and 10th minutes before Robert Lewandowski reduced the deficit in the 33rd.
Vinicius extended Real's advantage in the 39th minute from the penalty spot, after being fouled by Araujo inside the box.
In the second half, Rodrygo struck Real's fourth from a rebound in the 64th minute.
Real Madrid have scored 10 goals in their last three games against Barcelona.
Real Madrid won the competition for the 13th time, avenging last year's final defeat by record 14-time winners Barcelona.
