In preparation for the upcoming second Test against Australia, Pakistan has successfully negotiated an additional warm-up match. The team is set to engage in a two-day practice game against a Victoria side on the 22nd and 23rd of December.
With the second Test slated to occur at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from December 26th to the 30th, Pakistan aim to capitalise on this extra opportunity for match practice and acclimatisation to the Australian conditions.
Pakistan will touch down in Melbourne on the 19th of December.
After a day of rest on the 20th, the Pakistani squad will open their training session to fans on Thursday, providing an opportunity for cricket fans to witness their favourite players in action.
On December 24, the Pakistani players will take a break before resuming their training at the MCG on Christmas Day, December 25.
Meanwhile, Australian players, currently involved in an ongoing match in Perth, will disperse to their respective home cities for a brief break. They are expected to reconvene in Melbourne on Friday and Saturday for training sessions in preparation for the upcoming Test.
It must be noted Pakistan is currently playing Australia in the first Test at Perth Stadium.
Shan Masood-led side is struggling in the chase of 450, losing three wickets at the top.
Earlier, Australia declared their second innings at 233-5.
The hosts resumed day four on 84-2, with the declaration coming soon after lunch when opener Usman Khawaja was out for 90.
Mitchell Marsh was unbeaten on 63 when skipper Pat Cummins made the call with Khurram Shahzad the best of the Pakistan bowlers with 3-45.
