Manchester United's duo sweep Premier League's November awards

Manchester United won November's three league matches - against Fulham, Luton and Everton - without conceding

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and defender Harry Maguire have won November's Premier League manager and player of the month awards.

United lost four of their first seven league matches this season but have since climbed to sixth in the table.

Ten Hag's Manchester United boasted a flawless record, securing victories in all three matches against Fulham, Luton Town, and Everton without dropping a single point.

Furthermore, they were the sole team to maintain a clean sheet throughout the entire month, not conceding a goal.

This marks the third occasion Ten Hag has clinched this accolade, following his previous wins in September 2022 and February 2023. Only Sir Alex Ferguson, with 27 victories, has surpassed him in claiming this title as a manager for Man Utd.

The Dutchman joins a group of 32 managers in Premier League history who have achieved the feat of securing three Barclays Manager of the Month awards.

Maguire, who struggled for game time at the start of the season, played every minute in the three victories.

Maguire is the first defender to win the award since Liverpool's Joel Matip in February 2022. Overall, he is the 15th defender in history to be voted the Premier League's Player of the Month, and only the third from Man Utd, after Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

"Couldn't have done it without my team-mates, the staff and you fans. Your love and support doesn't go unnoticed, I appreciate it," Maguire said on X after winning the award.

Maguire had his United captaincy taken away by Ten Hag in July and seemed poised to leave Old Trafford before the season began.

Yet, he declined an offer from West Ham to remain at United, despite the club agreeing to a £30m offer for the English centre-back.

He led a list of six players that also featured Manchester City's Jeremy Doku, Newcastle's Anthony Gordon, Luton goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski, Raheem Sterling from Chelsea, and Bournemouth winger Marcus Tavernier.
