Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is a doubt for Los Blancos' UEFA Champions League (UCL) home clash against Braga on Wednesday (November 8).
Bellingham dislocated his shoulder during a goalless draw at the Bernabeu on the weekend as Madrid's attack consisting of Vinicius Junior, Joselu, and Rodrgyo failed to penetrate the visitors' defense for almost 97 minutes.
The 20-year-old is Madrid's arguably most important player at the moment as ever since making his debut, he has scored 13 goals in 14 matches, finding the back of the net time after time and getting his side out of difficult situations.
Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti held a pre-match press conference on Tuesday and confirmed that the midfielder's availability is a doubt as of now and will be decided later.
“I don’t know if he will play. I will decide tomorrow. He didn’t complete the training to avoid aggravating the issue, but he feels better," Ancelotti said.
Although Bellingham trained with his teammate on Tuesday the comfort in his shoulder could be seen from the gestures he made.
However, Ancelotti would likely rest Bellingham as his team has enough quality to beat Braga without the star midfielder.
Bellingham has been justifying the €103m tag ever since making his debut with Real Madrid and it has become nearly impossible to not mention him when talking about the best young players in the world.
The attacking midfielder also propelled Real Madrid to a crucial win against Barcelona on October 28 by scoring two goals including a thunderbolt from outside the box in the 68th minute and then a 92nd minute winner.
It must be noted that Bellingham was on the radar of many top clubs during the transfer window with Man City, Real Madrid and Liverpool going head-to-head to get the 20-year-old's signature but the English footballer preferred Real Madrid, the club of his dreams.
Bellingham was also named the Bundesliga Player of the Season 2022-23 for his astounding campaign with the Black and Yellows where he scored 14 goals and provided seven assists.
