French club Rennes winger Jeremy Doku is on the radar of a number of Premier League (PL) clubs despite already agreeing personal terms with Manchester City.
West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are the clubs plotting a late swoop for the Belgian winger.
Doku had a fantastic last season with the French club where he scored six goals in the league and helped his club finish in the top four.
Manchester City were the frontrunners to complete the signing of the 21-year-old after agreeing personal terms with him, as they were in the market to find a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who left for Saudi club this month.
However, another PL club West Ham have submitted a bid of less than £50 million for Doku and moved a step ahead of the European champions.
There is an argument that it might be difficult to convince the Belgian to not join the treble winners and lose the opportunity to play with players like Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne, but West Ham will certainly promise more game time which can be a key factor in the player’s decision.
Chelsea are looking forward to getting the signature of the Belgian after securing the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Doku is considered one of the most promising talents in the world, and the words from the World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe — whom he faced on more than one occasion in Ligue 1 — prove that.
“Recently, I was speaking with my father about a player who impressed me because of his speed qualities, that is Doku, at Rennes," Mbappe was quoted saying in 2021.
"In five years as a professional, I have never seen someone from a standing start demonstrate so much power."
