New Zealand's former captain Daniel Vettori has been appointed the new head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad for next year's Indian Premier League (IPL).
Vettori has replaced West Indian legend Brian Lara as the franchise look forward to a strong new season.
Vettori previously coached Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL and has been the assistant coach of the Australia men's team.
Lara worked as batting coach at Hyderabad before taking over as the head coach last year. Under him, the 2016 champions finished last in the 10-team league after four wins in 14 matches
"As our 2 year association with Brian Lara comes to an end, we bid adieu to him," the team said on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
"Thank you for the contributions to the Sunrisers. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours."
Andy Flower becomes coach of RCB
Former Zimbabwe cricketer Andy Flower was appointed head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last week.
Flower has replaced Sanjay Bangar as coach whereas the team's director of cricket operations, Mike Hesson, also left.
Former Zimbabwe captain Flower has been a sought-after coach who guided England to the T20 World Cup title in 2010 and has also tasted success in franchise-based competitions in England, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Flower has coached Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and at Bangalore he will reunite with Faf du Plessis, having worked with the South African at St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League.
