Argentina's Lionel Messi is already making his mark in America despite arriving in the country just last week.

Messi, who joined the Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami as a free agent in June, was recently seen in a photoshoot in a chef’s hat which gave his fans something new to cheer about.

The 36-year-old collaborated with the American fast food chain Hard Rock Café to create a new sandwich — which is inspired by one of his favourite Argentine food — for their menu.

The sandwich is named after the footballer and is called “Messi Chicken Sandwich” and, according to reports, is made by none other than the seven-time Ballon d’Or himself, proving he is as good in the kitchen as he is on the field.

"I can't wait for my fans all over the world to get a taste of one of my childhood favourites that still makes me feel at home, wherever in the world I am," the footballer said.

Messi did the marketing of the Sandwich on his Instagram account.

"Another dream comes true! I am thrilled to introduce to you the new Messi Chicken Sandwich that I have created with Hard Rock Café, inspired by my favourite food: The Milanese! Don't miss out," wrote Messi in a post on Instagram.

Right after Messi’s announcement, a large number of footballer's fans showed up at the restaurant and ordered the sandwich.

It must be noted that this is not the first time the 36-year-old has collaborated with Hard Rock, in 2022, the chain launched their campaign named “Live Greatness” featuring a “Messi Burger”. That burger was later extended to celebrate Messi’s World Cup triumph.
