Paris Saint Germain have confirmed the arrival of Lucas Hernandez from Bayern Munich, the club announced on Sunday.
The Frenchman signed a five-year contract with PSG which will keep him at the club till 2028.
The centre-back joined the French club for a €50m fee in total.
“Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the signing of Lucas Hernández. The French international defender, who will wear the number 21, has signed a five-year contract with the Club,” the club said in an official announcement.
Lucas, 27, is a versatile footballer who can play as a centre-back as well as a left-back. However, in the previous season, he played a major part of the season in the middle.
"I'm really excited! I've been waiting to join PSG for a long time, and it's finally happened. It's a very special day for me and I'm very happy to be here," Hernandez was quoted by PSG’s official website.
Hernandez joined Bayern in 2019 from Atletico Madrid and quickly established himself as a key player in the team.
He also won 10 trophies with the Bavarian club, including a UEFA Champions League (UCL) and four Bundesliga titles.
PSG have already secured the signings of Marco Asensio and Milan Skriniar in the past week.
Asensio was brought in as a free agent from Real Madrid where he spent eight years and won 17 titles.
Earlier on July 5, Luis Enrique was announced as the new PSG manager signing a two-year deal.
Enrique, 53, joined the French capital after spending seven months as a free agent leaving his role as Spain's head coach after they were knocked out in the Round of 16 by Morocco in the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
Luis Enrique has previously managed Spanish club FC Barcelona (FCB) where he spent three seasons and guided the club to nine titles.
The Spaniard won the treble in his first season with the Catalan club where he defeated Real Madrid in the league title race, Juventus in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final and Athletic Bilbao in Copa del Rey final.
