Shadab Khan, who captained Pakistan against Afghanistan in the recently concluded three-match T20I series, received UAE's Golden Visa on Tuesday.
The cricketer shared the news of getting UAE's Golden Visa on his Instagram. "Outside Pakistan, the most time I have spent is in the UAE. It always feels at home. Honored to have received the Golden Visa," he wrote.
Shadab is a regular member of Pakistan team in the white-ball format. The all-rounder got leadership responsibility in absence of Babar Azam during the Afghanistan T20I series.
Under his captaincy, Pakistan lost the series 2-1. Afghanistan beat Pakistan convincingly in the first two T20Is.
Shadab completes 100 T20I wickets
Shadab completed his 100 T20I wickets during last match of the shorter-format series against Afghanistan. The leg-spinner became first-ever Pakistani bowler to bag 100 wickets in men's T20Is. Previously, Afridi (98 wickets) was the highest wicket-taker in T20Is from Pakistan.
Overall, Shadab is the seventh bowler in the world to take hundred wickets in men's T20Is. Previously, Tim Southee, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, Ish Sodhi, Lasith Malinga, and Mustafizur Rehman bagged 100 wickets.
Pakistan women's team all-rounder Nida Dar also has 100 wickets in T20I cricket.
Shadab bagged three wickets during third T20I against Afghanistan which Pakistan won by 66 runs.
An all-round solid performance by Pakistan helped them avoid series whitewash against Afghanistan.
After losing first two T20Is, Pakistan displayed a decent show in third and final game of the series.
Pakistani bowlers were set to defend 183 runs and they managed to do it brilliantly to help Pakistan finish the series 2-1.
