English cricketer Jordan Cox will join Lahore Qalandars' squad on February 23, the franchise media manager shared after post-match presser on Tuesday.
Qalandars bounced back in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 with a 63-run victory against Quetta Gladiators at Karachi's National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA).
The wicket-keeper batter was representing England Lions against Sri Lanka A. The series concluded today with the third and last ODI which was won by Sri Lanka A.
On the other hand, West Indian cricketer Shai Hope played his last match today for Qalandars. The wicket-keeper batter, who scored highest 47 runs in Qalandars' victory against Gladiators, has been named the new ODI captain of West Indies.
In his farewell presser, Hope said that he enjoyed playing in PSL which has very high standards.
"I really enjoyed my time here. It is a fantastic tournament and I had a great time in Qalandars' camp. I hope to join them back soon," he said.
On the other hand, English wicket-keeper batter Sam Billings will join Qalandars on February 25 in Lahore.
After beating Gladiators in their third match, Qalandars will now travel to their home ground to play rest of their games. They have so far won two out of three games in this tournament.
They started their PSL 8 campaign on a winning note against Multan Sultans at their home ground. They travelled to Karachi to play their next game against the home side.
Shaheen Afridi-led Qalandars lost to Karachi Kings in their second game by 67 runs. A defeat put Qalandars on the back foot but they came out strongly to bounce back.
Their collective performance in the third game on Tuesday earned them a convincing victory against Gladiators.
Qalandars will leave for Lahore tomorrow.
