Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi stole the show during the exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators at the Bugti Stadium in Quetta on Sunday.
Bugti Stadium, filled with the Gladiators' supporters, was silent as Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris played sensational cricket and put their side in a strong position.
However, as soon as Afridi stepped onto the field, the crowd erupted and chanted 'Boom Boom'.
Afridi, 42, shined with the bat as he came to bat at number three for the Zalmis. The veteran batter started his innings with a boundary and went on to score 25 runs off 17 balls.
Apart from his batting, he also gathered massive praise for his looks.
Fans took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to heap praise on the batter.
Here's what they said:
It should be mentioned here that the home side beat Peshawar Zalmi by three runs, thanks to an exceptional batting by Iftikhar Ahmed and a great bowling display by the bowlers.
Put to bat first, the Gladiators posted a competitive 184 runs on the scoreboard before restricting the Yellow Storm to 180 runs.
Veteran pacer Wahab Riaz provided Zalmi with the perfect start by dismissing Ahsan Ali and Umar Akmal in the second over of the innings but Quetta fought back in the second half of the innings to post a competitive total on the board.
Ahmed smacked Riaz for six sixes in the final over of the innings to ensure that Quetta finished on a high. The right-hander remained unbeaten on 94 runs in 50 balls.
In reply, Zalmi were restricted to 181-7 in 20 overs.
At the half-way mark, it seemed as if Zalmi would cruise to victory after reaching 109-1 in 10 overs.
However, Quetta picked up wickets at regular intervals towards the backend of the innings to stall their opponent's progress.
Opener Mohammad Haris, who played some stunning shots, top-scored with 53 runs in 35 balls.
Afridi and Babar scored 25 and 23 runs, respectively.
Mohammad Hasnain was the pick of the bowlers for Quetta after bagging figures of 3-30 in four overs.
Meanwhile, Naseem Shah defended nine runs in the final over to get his side over the line.
