Pakistan made history by becoming the first team to whitewash South Africa in a bilateral ODI series at home.

With this remarkable series win, Pakistan not only secured a 3-0 whitewash over South Africa but also cemented its place in history as the first team to accomplish this feat on South African soil.

In the third and final match, Pakistan posted a formidable total of 308/9 after being asked to bat first.

The innings was anchored by a brilliant knock from Saim Ayub, who scored 101 off 94 balls, including 13 boundaries and two sixes.

Ayub formed a vital 114-run partnership with captain Babar Azam (52 off 71 balls), who played a crucial role in stabilizing the innings.

Mohammad Rizwan also made a key contribution, scoring his 15th ODI half-century, an impressive 53 off 52 balls.

Agha Salman provided the late charge with a quick-fire 48 off 32 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes, taking Pakistan to a commanding total.

South Africa's chase got off to a solid start, but the visitors struggled to maintain the momentum and ended up losing wickets at regular intervals.

The top scorer for the Proteas was Heinrich Klaasen, who smashed 81 off 43 balls, including 12 boundaries and two sixes.

Jansen contributed a steady 26, but despite late heroics from Corbin Bosch, who added a quick 40, South Africa fell short, finishing their innings at 271 all out in 42 overs, resulting in Pakistan winning the match by 36 runs.

Pakistan’s bowlers were exceptional throughout, with Sufiyan Muqeem leading the charge.

He claimed 4 wickets for 52 runs in 8 overs, providing crucial breakthroughs at key moments.

Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah supported well, each picking up two wickets, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Hasnain chipped in with a wicket each.

The win further bolstered Mohammad Rizwan's reputation as a leader, marking his third consecutive ODI series triumph as Pakistan’s captain.

Rizwan’s captaincy tenure began with a historic 2-1 series victory against Australia—their first on Australian soil since 2002—followed by a 2-1 win over Zimbabwe earlier this month.
