South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen will play his last match for Lahore Qalandars tonight against Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.

As per details, the 35-year-old was available for eight matches only and is leaving to participate in Cricket South Africa's domestic T20 tournament, CSA T20 Challenge.

The right-handed batter scored 300 runs in six matches at an average of 75. He scored a brilliant unbeaten 104 not out against Peshawar Zalmi.

It must be noted that Qalandars have lost six games while one game got washout. Their chances of qualifying are minimal but all hope is not lost for Shaheen Afridi’s troops. However, as there is a tiny bit of hope, things aren’t too easy.

Lahore have three more matches, not only do they need to win them with massive margins, but they also require Karachi and Islamabad to lose their remaining matches.

Similar to the previous edition, the ninth edition of the PSL will unfold in two legs. The matches from February 17 to 27 took place at Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, hosting a total of 14 matches.

The cricketing action then shifted to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be played from February 28 to March 12. The tournament will conclude in Karachi with the playoffs.
