Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has turned out to be an admirer of Pakistani food.
In a recent viral video, the 42-year-old cricketer was spotted at a restaurant, recommending someone to visit Pakistan to indulge in the country's rich and diverse culinary offerings.
“You should go to Pakistan once for the food,” the Indian World Cup-winning captain said.
The honest response from the fan had Dhoni in splits.
Dhoni, in the initial phase of his career, toured Pakistan where he played an important role in his team’s ODI series win.
He played three games, scoring 179 runs. He played a special knock of 148 which made Dhoni recognisable as a batter.
Earlier, this year, Dhoni underwent a knee operation and is currently in the rehab process ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In a recent interaction, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said he is optimistic Dhoni will be fully fit before the 2024 edition of the IPL, stating that their skipper has recovered well after the knee surgery.
Viswanathan informed that Dhoni has been undergoing rehab and will hit the nets soon.
