Stefanos Tsitsipas admitted that he is working hard to find a way to beat Novak Djokovic and other top stars favourite for the Grand Slams in the 2024 season.

Tsitsipas turned 25 in August and is yet to taste Grand Slam glory. However, the Greek aims to turn things around in the upcoming year and he is geared up to start the year with a win in Australia, where he was defeated by the Serb in January this year.

Roger Federer retired after claiming 20 majors while Rafael Nadal has just returned from an injury, but Djokovic continued to dominate the year as the Serb clinched three Grand Slams by beating top players.

The 25-year-old is aiming to find ways to beat Djokovic and the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, and Daniil Medvedev to claim his first Grand Slam and also reach new heights in the rankings.

“Right now, we have a lot of great players on the tour playing a lot of great tennis. That is probably the most challenging period of my tennis career so far, to find ways to beat those guys, to find ways to pass them in the rankings," Tsitsipas said on The AO Show podcast.

“Maybe also show our real potential, finally, once, all I’m asking is just once. I hope we can just find a way to get there and start owning our own zone," Tsitsipas said.

Melbourne has a very large Greek community and Tsitsipas always feels at home there and considers the Australian Open his "home Slam." “(Australia) is one of my favourite destinations, my ‘home slam’ is located there.

“Extraordinary country that offers so much beauty outside and on the court, as well. I always associate Australia with great fans because I do get a lot of great support down there and it’s a lot of fun to be performing in cities around the country," Tsitsipas said.
