The fans are likely to get multiple opportunities to see Pakistan and India clash on the cricket field in the near future.
Saturday’s match between the arch-rivals in Kandy, Sri Lanka, during the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 left the fans disappointed since it was washed out due to rain.
However, Pakistan and India could face each other twice, Super 4 and the final, in the remaining matches of the Asia Cup.
Although, India will have to avoid defeat against Nepal in their final group stage game during the Asia Cup in order to qualify for the Super 4 round.
The traditional rivals will also clash during the ICC World Cup 2023 in India.

The Asia Cup 2023 is being held in Pakistan, who are the hosts, and Sri Lanka between August 30 and September 17.
All the matches of the Asia Cup will not be played in Pakistan because the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to send their team to Pakistan due to security concerns.
Pakistan are in Group A alongside Nepal and India. Meanwhile, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are in Group B.
Four matches will be played in Pakistan, while nine, including the final, will be played in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, 10 teams will fight for the elusive ICC World Cup trophy across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.
The Cricket World Cup will be played in the round-robin format with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches.
The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. The semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.
