France and Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is likely to leave the club ahead of the new season.
According to a report by the Spanish daily Marca, Fayza Lamari, mother and agent of Mbappe, has already agreed on the figure that PSG will pay his son after his sale.
The transfer can probably be closed in the coming days with Mbappe joining the Whites for a fee of around €225-230 million.
PSG have decided to let the 24-year-old go this summer because they do not want to lose him for free next year as the player has already announced that he will not renew his contract with the club.
Meanwhile, Mbappe will give up the money he would receive in the 2023-24 season with PSG but the club will compensate him from the transfer fee they will get.
“The star striker is aware he betrayed Madrid’s trust last year and has a clear feeling of having failed them. Hence, only six weeks after he renewed with PSG, they told Real Madrid that Kylian was sorry for what happened,” the report stated while recalling how Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid didn’t go through last season.
Earlier, Saudi club Al-Hilal officially submitted a massive €300m bid for Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe, international media reported Monday. However, the offer was rejected by Mbappe since he dreams about playing for Madrid.
However, Al-Hilal — who signed current Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema on a big-money contract recently — is not the only team after the Frenchman. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, Chelsea, and FC Barcelona are the teams who want to sign the 24-year-old.
To push him out of the club, the French club has already gone to extremes. On Friday (July 21), Mbappe was excluded from the club’s squad for their Asian pre-season tour.
PSG did not only exclude Mbappe from the pre-season squad, they have also decided to send him to train with discarded players, players who are no longer part of the project.
