KARACHI: Aman Shah, from Lahore's Bulls Football Club, recently took a trial for renowned English club Liverpool's football academy and got selected for their summer camp.
The 17-year-old striker attended the camp at Repton School in Derbyshire, along with 160 plus more players from around the world, for 14 days.
Aman impressed the coaches in the camp and even scored a hat-trick during the trials.
“Making his dream into a reality, we present to you our superstar, Aman Shah,” the Bulls said on their official Instagram account.
“Aman has always been an excellent and skilled player but was aggressive. His temperament needed a 360-degree change which was a great challenge initially. However, as time passed, he worked on himself. He polished his abilities, worked on his temper and paved the way for a bright future.
“Aman recently took a trial for Liverpool football academy in Derbyshire. He not only got selected but also got bewildering responses from the coaches. As he scored a hat-trick in his trials. We take immense pride in his achievement and journey from Lahore to Liverpool and couldn't be happier. You made Bulls FC proud Aman!”
The camp ended with a trip to Anfield Stadium, which is the home of Liverpool’s legendary players.
Aman joined Bulls FC in 2016 and has been a part of the club ever since. He is currently the captain of the club’s U20 team.
According to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp “the LFC International Academies provide young players with an opportunity to develop, learning new techniques and skills, all under the guidance of our coaching staff”.
“We offer something different and something unique by developing players both on and off the pitch, educating them through experiences that will shape their progression into young adults and giving them skills that can be used throughout their lives,” he added.
“Our overall aims are to bring LFC to our young fans around the world and to demonstrate just how special our football club is.”
Earlier, Pakistan’s football club Karachi United’s player Affan Siddiqui also secured a trial at Aldershot Town Football Club (ATFC) in England, the club announced earlier this month.
Aldershot Town Football Club is a professional football club which competes in the National League, the fifth tier of the English football league system.
