Sai Sudharsan scored a magnificent century to propel India A to an eight-wicket victory over Pakistan A in the ACC Men's Emerging Asia Cup in Colombo on Wednesday.

Set to chase 206 runs in 50 overs, India got the massive backing of their opener Sudharsan who remained not out for 104 runs  laced with 10 boundaries and three maximums.

Nikin Jose scored 53 runs and also partnered strongly with Sudharsan for a match-winning 99-run partnership.

Indian skipper Yash Dhull managed to score winning runs as he remained not out for 21 runs including two boundaries and a six.

For Pakistan A, Mubasir Khan and Mehran Mumtaz took a wicket each.

Earlier, the right-handed batter Qasim Akram rescued Pakistan A before they were bowled out for 205 runs.

Qasim came to bat when Pakistan were struggling at 78-5. The young batter held his nerves calm amid solid bowling by the Indian bowlers.

After deciding to bat first, Pakistan lost their opener Saim Ayub too early. The left-handed batter couldn't score a run and threw his wicket to Rajvardhan Hangargekar.

Sahibzada Farhan showed his experience and stayed at the crease. Meanwhile, Omair bin Yousuf also lost his wicket for naught. Farhan and young Haseebullah built a brief partnership of 32 runs but it couldn't continue for long. Farhan fell to Riyan Parag on a misjudged shot in the 13th over followed by early dismissals of Haseeb (27) and Kamran Ghulam (15).

Manav Suthar provided two back-to-back breakthroughs to keep his team on the right track.

Qasim then contributed 48 runs followed by cameos of Mubasir Khan (28) and Mehran Mumtaz (25).

Hangargekar bagged his second fifer of this tournament whereas Suthar took three scalps.
