Football fans were pleasantly surprised about a Women's World Cup advertisement which included French footballer Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.
In a bid to challenge people’s opinions about women’s football, a telecom company, Orange, started a campaign with a two-minute ad which showed the outstanding skills and goals of players like Mbappe, Griezmann and others.
However, there was a twist in the ad after a message in it said "only Les Bleus can give us these emotions. But that's not them you've just seen”.
After the aforementioned message, it was revealed that the skills and the goals were of Les Bleues women's players, including Sakina Karchaoui and Selma Bacha, as the rewound ad showed the VFX editing process.
"Absolutely bamboozled me. Great ad," one fan wrote on Reddit, while one Twitter user describes it as "the French commercial that blew our minds".
The ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup will include 64 matches with the first match and opening ceremony set to take place on July 20 at New Zealand’s Eden Park in Auckland.
France, fifth on the FIFA rankings, will start their World Cup campaign when they take on Jamaica on July 23.
This will be the first FIFA Women's football World Cup to have two host nations.
