Ahmad Shahzad working hard to make Pakistan team comeback

Discarded opening batter Ahmad Shahzad aims to make a comeback in the Pakistan team. 

Shahzad is currently working hard on his fitness and game while doing training sessions at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).  

Speaking to reporters today, Shahzad said he is working on his game to find his way to the national team. 

"I am working hard to make comeback in the national team. In the future, there are leagues too, I am making myself ready enough to participate," he said. 

Shahzad trains for hours at the NCA. Moreover, he also does gym session to gain strength. 

The right-handed batter last represented Pakistan against Sri Lanka in a T20I back in 2019. He could only score 17 runs in his last T20 international series. The cricketer had represented Pakistan in 13 Tests, 81 ODIs and 59 T20Is. 

He hasn't been selected for Pakistan's Test camp. PCB has organised specialised camps for spinners, fast bowlers, and batters. The camp started today with spinners having reported at 10am at LCCA ground.
