Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has stated that he has a great relationship with manager Pep Guardiola after earning high praise from the latter over his impressive performance against Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-final on Wednesday.

After a brace against Madrid, Guardiola had named Silva as one of the best players he has ever seen in his life.

“I’m really happy, because I have a great relationship with him [Guardiola], and he is one of the greatest managers of all time,” Silva was quoted as saying by Man City’s official website.

“This praise from someone who has managed the best teams in the world means a lot to me, so I hope to pay it back through my performances and by helping this club achieve the most we can.

“The fans also deserve this, they have been great all season and were so again tonight.”

The 28-year-old is also keen on winning the treble with Manchester City with his side on the verge of winning the Premier League title on Sunday, when they face Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

“There are three competitions to play for – and we can still win none, one, two or all three.

“We’ll see if we can lift the Premier League again this Sunday at home with our fans, and from there we have two more finals, which are both very difficult, against United and Inter, who are a very organised side.

“We’ll study them, follow the boss’ plan once more and try to give our fans everything that this club deserves.

“We’ll try to win it all, we know it will be difficult, but we’ll try.”

City have also qualified for the FA Cup final, where they will face rivals Manchester United on June 3. Guardiola’s men will lock horns with Inter Milan in the final of UCL on June 10.
