Pakistan Shaheens' squad, under the leadership of Imran Butt, reached Zimbabwe to play two four-dayers and five 50-overs games.
As shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shaheens' squad reached Harare today, and they will start training tomorrow.
Under the leadership of Butt, Shaheens trained in Karachi for 11 days before Eid ul Fitr. The whole squad did training under the supervision of a coaching staff led by former Test cricketer Aizaz Cheema.
Different plans were given to the players as per their strengths. Players featured in batting, bowling, and fielding drills during the training camp.
With the likes of Test cricketers and international stars, Shaheens look forward to a successful Zimbabwe tour.
Earlier during a press conference in Karachi, Shaheens' head coach Cheema called it a great opportunity for the players to make it to the national senior team.
"It is a great opportunity for me as well as for these players. More importantly, Shaheens is a platform for youngsters especially to make it to the main team," he had said.
The veteran of seven Tests, 14 ODIs, and five T20Is also credited Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for organising a tour for Shaheens.
"Credit goes to PCB for organising the tour for Shaheens. It is good that we have backup players available. They just need an opportunity to play at international level. This tour will help them groom," he added.
