Tommy Fury defeated Jake Paul with a split decision in a much-awaited matchup of amateur boxers in history.
Fury was the more active fighter, landing more precise blows and showcasing his boxing basics.
The brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was knocked out in the eighth round by YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.
One judge gave Paul a score of 75–74, while the other two gave Fury a score of 76–73.
"For the past two years this is all that has consumed my life," Fury said on BT Sport. Everybody thought I was running scared, but tonight, I made my own legacy. This is my first main event, I am going to get bigger and better and if he wants a rematch, bring it on."
Meanwhile, Paul, who got defeated in his first professional fight in seven games, said: "All respect to Tommy, he won. Don't judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses. I don't know if I agree with the judges, it is what it is, but that is the boxing world."
Several celebrities from the sports and entertainment worlds were present, and many more watched the eight-round fight at home.
In the open-air Diriyah Arena in Riyadh, celebrities, including footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and boxing star Mike Tyson were there.
