LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Monday, announced that experienced New Zealand batter Martin Guptill has signed up for the highly-anticipated player draft for the league’s 10th edition.
The announcement was made on the league's social media handles with a compilation video of the batter’s notable performances from the previous editions, including his swashbuckling century against Karachi Kings in PSL 8.

The 38-year-old, who represented New Zealand 47 Tests, 198 ODIs and 122 T20Is, has featured in the marquee league thrice.
In his budding PSL career, Guptill has won the prestigious title twice, with Kings in 2020, while his second last season with Islamabad United.
The right-handed batter has thus far played 18 PSL matches and scored 519 runs at a decent average of 30.52 and a strike rate of 139.52. He also has one century and three fifties to his name.
Notably, Guptill is the third New Zealander and the 21st overall foreign player to register for the PSL 10 draft, which will take place in Balochistan for the first time as Gwadar is set to host the landmark event on January 11, 2025.
The pick order for the player draft has also been announced, with two-time champions Lahore Qalandars making the first pick in the opening round of the platinum category, followed by arch-rivals Karachi Kings.
2019 champions Quetta Gladiators will make the third pick, while Peshawar Zalmi will have the fourth.
Last season’s runners-up, Sultans, and reigning champions United will make the fifth and sixth picks, respectively.
