Pakistan reach Perth for first Australia Test

First Test to start on December 14

Pakistan arrived in Perth from Canberra - PCB

Pakistan squad have arrived in Perth for the opening Test of the three-match series starting from December 14.

The much-awaited Test will be played at Perth's Optus Stadium which holds a capacity of over 60,000 people. Shan Masood-led side reached after participating in the practice game in Canberra against Prime Minister's XI. The game ended as a draw.

Meanwhile, home side Australia started training and took part in the first session at the WACA.

Shan Masood will be leading Pakistan in his first assignment as Test captain. He was named Pakistan's captain for the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle after taking over the reins from Babar Azam last month.

Meanwhile, Australia will be captained by Pat Cummins, who recently led his side to the 50-over World Cup title in India, during the series.

The first Test in Perth will be followed by a fixture in Melbourne, from December 26-30. Sydney will host the last game of the tour from January 3-7, 2024.
