KARACHI: The Pakistan Under-19 (U19) cricket squad have touched down in Dubai under the leadership of Saad Baig to take part in the U19 Asia Cup.
The Boys in Green will take part in practice sessions from tomorrow at the ICC Academy Dubai.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Dubai, the ACC U19 Asia Cup is slated to run from December 8-17. Leading up to the semifinals, all matches will take place at the ICC Academy Ground. However, the final of the tournament will grace the Dubai International Stadium.
Marking their entry into the tournament, the Pakistan U19 squad is poised to face Nepal in their inaugural match on December 8.
Remember, the junior selection committee, headed by Sohail Tanvir, finalised the 15-member squad last week.
Pakistan U19 are placed in Group A alongside Afghanistan U19, India U19, and Nepal U19. They will play their first match of the tournament against Nepal on December 8 followed by games against India and Afghanistan on December 10 and 12, respectively.
Prior to the selection of the squad, the Pakistan U19 probables had assembled for a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre, Karachi since November 24. The 15-member squad will now depart to Dubai on December 6.
